Dell Joins Bitcoin Accepting Merchant Team
Computer technology giant Dell has partnered with Coinbase and now is accepting Bitcoin for its products.
Dell with its $57 billion in annual revenue is about four times the size of DISH Network – the former biggest business that started accepting Bitcoin as a payment method for their services.
Customers and small business owners starting from today will be able to purchase all items from Dell.com with Bitcoin. To motivate the use of the new payment option the company will be offering a 10% discount on all its Alienware products for buyers that choose to pay with Bitcoin.
Coinbase made an announcement on its blog, stating that Dell is trying to provide customers with a larger payment flexibility. It also says that once the decision to accept Bitcoin payments was made, everything moved rapidly, it took Dell only two weeks for the implementation of the new payment option on their site.
Dell is now the biggest merchant by annual revenue that accepts Bitcoin. Coinbase added the former biggest merchant DISH Network in late May when it announced about joining the Bitcoin ecosystem. DISH Network has an annual revenue of about $14 billion.
